Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I've not had any luck with getting this plugin to run reliably against HEAD or with the staged version and there's no easy way to figure out why

Add some sort of VERBOSE option...
Describe alternatives you've considered
Manually debugging the code. Seems that the pre and post processors just aren't being run.
