Going to pull in @tacaswell here too, since this could be in matplotlib. On windows with matplotlib 1.4.3 and numpy 1.10.1 I get the FutureWarning for

plt.scatter(range(10), range(10))

This should be fixed by matplotlib/matplotlib#4925 and should have shipped with 1.5.0

@divenex those look to be in pure matplotlib, suggest reporting to there tracker.

And @jreback I think this can be closed. Just ran (on windows) with mpl 1.5, np 1.10.1 and pandas 0.17.1 and didn't get any warnings.
