v1.55.0
What's Changed
Added
Wpml\MenuSyncReadOnlyandStarterBase::$wpml_menu_sync_read_only
(default off). A plain page load of WPML → WP Menus Sync writes to the
database: one visit removed 56 menu items and rewrote 230icl_translations
rows. On that screen the guard switches autocommit off and rolls back the
writes through$wpdbat shutdown, then flushes an external object cache.
It blocks the screen (HTTP 403) when it cannot prove the rollback, for
example a table that is not InnoDB. A logged-out request reaches those writes
too, becauseinitruns before WordPress authenticates, so the guard covers
it as well. A confirmed Sync is a separate AJAX
request and still writes, but no longer applies WPML's page-load repairs.
