Patterpad 0.14.0

Added

• The welcome screen points at the tour. A quiet line under Open and New: "New to Patter? Take
the interactive tour", which opens the download page that offers it. The first screen is where
somebody who needs teaching is standing, and it used to say nothing about the thing that teaches.

Changed

• Hints look like hints, and the explanations read as sentences. Placeholder text is styled once,
consistently, so an empty field can't read as a filled one (a tag field's hint was the exception and
sat at full strength). And a sweep of the settings notes for words that came from the code rather
than from writing: "debounced", "write path", "node type", and a couple of sentences contorted
enough to say the same thing twice.
