Learn about vigilant mode.
  • BaudRate, StopBits, Parity and DataBits are now set from PCDs (gEfiMdePkgTokenSpaceGuid.PcdUartDefault### defaults).
  • A SerialPortLib that can be used for serial Debug (as part of BaseDebugLibSerialPort or as a standalone serial output library) is now also included in the source.

  • First release of a UEFI driver for Prolific PL2303 based USB ↔ Serial adapters.
  • Mostly converted by AI from the Linux kernel pl2303 driver.
  • TX ONLY driver (No RX).
  • Also includes a Serial Test application.
  • The DEBUG versions may produce extra information on the UEFI console (using the StdErr UEFI debug facility).
