Pego v0.2.0

Pego 0.2.0 adds Present, which shows a page's frames as a full screen slide deck, and makes opening a Pencil .pen file bring its pictures along. Full history: changelog.pego.ink.
Highlights
Present your frames. The new Present button sits next to Play flow and shows the frames of the page you are on, one per slide, full screen. Use the arrow next to it to start from the first slide or from the selected frame, or press Cmd+Enter (Ctrl+Enter on Windows and Linux); add Shift to start from the selection. Move with the arrow keys, Space, Enter, Page Up and Page Down, press G for a grid of every slide, R to replay a slide's entrance and Esc to leave. On a phone or tablet, swipe or tap the edges. Controls hide when the mouse rests, and with reduced motion on, slides appear in their final state.
Pencil imports bring their pictures. Opening a .pen file now loads the images stored next to it: the desktop app reads them from that folder, Claude Code does the same through open_document, and a browser asks you to pick the folder. Photo cards, logos and illustrations arrive filled instead of blank, and the import note lists any file that could not be read.
Pictures stored once. A picture used on many screens is now kept once in the document, so a design with a hundred images stays a file you can save, copy and send. Copying layers to another document or syncing a component library brings their pictures along.
Gradient direction. Linear gradients from Pencil now point the way they did there. Angular gradients and image crops are not supported yet and fall back to a linear gradient or the whole image; the import note says when that happens.

Good to know
- File format 11. Documents saved by this version can't be opened by 0.1.0; older files open and upgrade automatically.
- Updates. The macOS app, the Windows installer and the Linux AppImage update themselves. The deb, rpm, pacman, tar.gz and Windows zip builds are updated by installing the new version.
- Unsigned builds. Windows and Linux builds are not code-signed yet: Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm ("More info" › "Run anyway").
- The built-in browser is part of the desktop app only.

Pego v0.1.0

Pego 0.1.0 is the first stable release: accounts with Google or GitHub (optional), backup and sharing, a new look, agents that work on your whole computer and keep your design tidy, wireflows, background removal, and big documents that stay quick. Full history: changelog.pego.ink.
Highlights
Accounts, optional. Sign in with Google or GitHub from the sidebar or during the welcome tour, or continue as a guest: Pego works fully without an account. Signed in, back a project up to your account and share a read-only view with a link or by inviting people by email.
Wireflows you can play and publish. Press Play to click through your screens like a real app. Export a page as an Astro project, or deploy it to Cloudflare Pages or Netlify with your own token. The toolbar shows the current page, like 2/5, and lets you search and switch pages.
Smoother canvas, steadier agents. Zoom and pan feel direct and layers snap with guides. The agent's designs appear while it is still writing them, your edits win while it draws, and it stays on your page. Ask for a brand kit with logo, colors, type and components. Drag a tab into its own window. Opening a .pen file keeps more of your Pencil design.
A new look. Calmer chrome, grape for the agent and bubblegum for you, a new app icon, Geist and JetBrains Mono, and the tools on the left edge of the canvas. Pego opens on Home with your recent files and projects, and you can start a design by typing right there. A short welcome tour sets up your agent on first launch.
More agents, with full access. Copilot CLI, Kiro CLI, ZCode, Goose, Amp, Cline and Kimi Code join Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and the rest in the agent panel. With full access (Settings › Agent) they can run commands, edit files and use the web on your computer, so you can ask them to build and deploy a page. Tell the agent a folder's path and it uses the SVGs and images in it.
Designs that stay together. The agent starts a new design from a design system, keeps screens in neat rows near your work and never drops them on top of it. Tidy up (Ctrl+Alt+T) lines your screens up in one step. Agents working over MCP stay on their own page while you browse others, and the canvas cursor reads mcp-pego while they work.
Wireflows. Connect screens with arrows that follow them when they move: draw them with the Connector tool (C), or ask the agent to connect a flow.
Pictures from anywhere. In the desktop app the agent browses any site, Pinterest, Unsplash, Dribbble or Google Images, finds pictures, studies them and places them. Remove the background of a photo in one click, on your own device. SVG files become editable vector layers when you drop, paste or place them.
Faster on big documents. Documents with thousands of layers open, switch and edit in a fraction of a second, and panning and zooming stay smooth on pages with many screens.
Everyday editing. Export from the top bar as PNG, SVG or code. Absolute position for layers inside auto layout (overlays, sheets, badges). Resizing a group scales its contents. Double-click a tab to rename it. Save from the close tab dialog. Press ↑ in the agent chat to bring back an earlier message. Seven new styles, from Cyberpunk to Watercolor. A new MCP page in Settings shows how to connect Claude Code and every tool Pego offers.

Good to know
- Coming from 0.1.0-beta? The beta looks for updates in a place that no longer has them. Download this version once and install it over the beta; after that, updates arrive on their own.
