⚠️ Breaking change: the EU region is retired

Permit's EU region (api.eu-central-1.permit.io) was shut down in September 2026. All workspaces, including former EU ones, now live on https://api.permit.io.

• --region eu, PERMIT_REGION=eu, and a previously saved eu login now fail with a clear "EU region retired" error and exit code 1, before any request is made. The CLI no longer silently falls back to the US region with old EU credentials.
• us is the only supported region and the default.

What to do if you used the EU region: run permit logout, then permit login. Your workspace is now served from api.permit.io. If you set PERMIT_REGION=eu anywhere, remove it.
