Despite months of back-and-forth and multiple name changes (MacMistral → Mistralis → PromptBar), Apple has officially rejected PromptBar from the Mac App Store — even while similar browser-based AI tools remain approved.

We’re disappointed but not surprised — and more determined than ever to keep PromptBar accessible and growing.

📥 Installation Guide

  1. Visit Ko-fi → PromptBar
  2. Download the .pkg and install it
  3. Run PromptBar from your Applications folder
  4. Click the menubar icon to start chatting

💡 On first run, macOS may ask for permissions — just click Open if prompted.

🔄 Auto-Launch on Login

To have PromptBar start with your Mac:

  • Go to System Settings → General → Login Items
  • Click + and add PromptBar.app

PromptBar will now be ready whenever your Mac boots up.
