Release list
v0.2.0 (beta)
This is a beta. Please share feedback, issues and bugs in the issue tracker or by email at support@pharelabs.com.
Device settings, per-device controls, clearer entities and room areas.
Settings
-
Night path light, per device: on or off, brightness, duration, ambient light threshold and movement sensitivity (0.1 s to 2 s). From firmware 1.1.0 also the trigger mode and the schedule's start and end, which run on the home's local time.
-
Alert settings for the sensors each board has:
- switches for smoke, carbon monoxide, mains power, battery, humidity, temperature and sound alerts;
- the levels behind them.
The smoke and CO switches and all the levels start disabled. Changes that would leave an alert unable to clear are refused.
-
A device whose settings cannot be read is retried with the device list, and settings are read a few at a time.
Controls
- A wireless interconnect switch for each home, and per device a break-in alarm switch and an interconnect switch.
- Every home is a device of its own.
- Test and identify are controls.
Entities and device card
- Devices go in their room's area.
- Clearer names and states, and CO in whole ppm.
- The device card shows the hardware name, all three processors' firmware and the MAC address. The SIM's ICCID is a diagnostic entity.
- Catalan, Spanish and French translations.
Alert types and privacy
- Only the alert types the integration lists reach Home Assistant. Entities of a type no longer listed are removed on setup.
- Diagnostics leave out firmware working values, and redact alert text, the ICCID and the MAC.
Updating
- Install the update from HACS, then restart Home Assistant.
- The Smoke alerts and CO alerts switches and all the alert levels start disabled: enable the ones you want in the device's settings.
- Existing devices keep their current areas. Move them to their rooms, or remove and re-add the integration, to use the new room areas.
- Brand icons show on Home Assistant 2026.3 and later.
v0.1.0 (beta)
First release of Phare Protect for Home Assistant. This is a beta: please share feedback, issues and bugs in the issue tracker or by email at support@pharelabs.com.
What you get
- Each Phare device as a Home Assistant device, in an area named after its home.
- Sensors for temperature, humidity, CO, CO2, VOC, air-quality index and battery (only the quantities a device reports).
- Connectivity, plus a binary sensor per active alarm: CO, smoke, movement, temperature, humidity, pipe burst, fault, mains and battery.
- A break-in
alarm_control_panelper home (arm away / disarm), and test, identify and silence buttons. Silence is disabled by default. - Pushed alerts: when Home Assistant has an https address (Nabu Casa or an external URL) and the token has the control scope, alerts arrive within seconds through a signed webhook and fire a
phare_alertevent. The minute poll stays as the safety net.
Install
- HACS -> Integrations -> Custom repositories: add
https://github.com/pharelabs/phare-home-assistantas an Integration. - Install Phare Protect and restart Home Assistant.
- In the Phare Protect app (1.2.0 or later): Settings -> API tokens -> Create token, then paste it into the integration's setup form.
Brand images ship with the integration and show on Home Assistant 2026.3 and later.
