Local ROADMAP execution and Desktop recovery improvements.

  • Projects with a local checkout load ROADMAP.md or docs/ROADMAP.md directly. Open a task, select a local ACP Agent, and choose Execute locally without enrolling a Cloud Worker.
  • Cloud refresh no longer blocks the local workbench. Cloud tasks remain available through the source switch.
  • Conversation deletion requires confirmation and persists across restart; deleted conversations are excluded from replay and thread context.
  • Device enrollment now preserves HTTP failure reasons, shows localized recovery guidance, and retains pending registration identity across retries.
  • Includes local GPUI lock resolution, source-only standalone type checks, generated contract checks, and formatting updates.
  • Both Host and Worker are included and stripped for macOS. This release uses the approved 110 MB macOS download budget.

Packages: Pero for macOS Apple Silicon, Windows x64, and Linux x64; standalone Virtual Cell for macOS Apple Silicon. Per-product build metadata and SHA256SUMS accompany each archive.

Local acceptance used actual Electron/Host/ACP fixture execution, including real file effects while Cloud requests were held open. This does not establish a real-provider task or Cloud result acceptance. Native CI builds and launches each packaged product before publication.

Install and authenticate a supported coding CLI before using an Agent. Public contribution publication additionally requires Git and GitHub CLI authentication. The standalone Virtual Cell package includes its Python runtime.

These are development prereleases. macOS packages are ad-hoc signed and not notarized; Windows and Linux packages are unsigned.

Pero Desktop development packages, built and launch-tested on native GitHub Actions runners.

  • Pero: macOS Apple Silicon DMG, Windows x64 portable ZIP, Linux x64 portable tar.gz.
  • Task Center defaults to https://app.openpero.com.
  • No source checkout needed: sign in, claim a public task and choose a save folder. Pero clones the repository and creates the task branch.
  • Install Git and a supported coding CLI and authenticate the CLI before starting. Native coding CLIs are not bundled.
  • To publish PRs, install GitHub CLI from https://cli.github.com and run gh auth login --hostname github.com --git-protocol https in any directory. Then check changes again in Pero. App sign-in and gh authorization are separate.
  • Virtual Cell: separate macOS Apple Silicon App with bundled Python. Opens directly into the research App; no checkout, coding CLI or gh required.
  • macOS packages are ad-hoc signed and not notarized; Windows/Linux packages are unsigned development builds.
  • Per-product build metadata and SHA256SUMS accompany every archive.
