deplister.exe flagged as malware by Windows defender

Description

I just downloaded php-8.4.0alpha1-nts-Win32-vs17-x64.zip from https://windows.php.net/qa, and that file was flagged as malware (Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.H!ml) by my Windows defender. That was very surprising, since I've had that file on that machine a few days before, without any warnings. Since VirusTotal has no issues with that file, I'm assuming it's a false positive, but I'll do some further checks.

That looks indeed like a false positive. Given that nobody else has reported an issue with this, I'm closing this ticket.

It should be noted that deplister.exe is usually not needed; it is just a helper to check for (missing) dependencies of executable files (.exe and .dll).

I checked and it was flagged for me too. I'm confident my computer is clean, and I trust VirusTotal, so I also think it's a false positive.
