I'll hold off on merging this until the other PRs are merged (or can this be done now?); better that we remove too much code than too little. If it seems to be necessary we can re-add later |

I agree with that. But if all code in this pr can be removed I don't have to fix the tests for these classes. |

I'm not sure if we need any of this code in the future. But when all refactoring is completed I think this one can be merged.
