@pockethook-app pockethook-app released this 18 Sep 16:22

PocketHook Agent Server 0.8.0 accompanies PocketHook 1.4 with QR setup for saved server profiles.

  • Generate an expiring, single-use invitation with bun run app:qr and scan it in PocketHook. On macOS, the command can discover the instance’s Tailscale HTTPS route, display a terminal QR and save a restricted temporary PNG.
  • Import chat, health checks, pending jobs and optional Personal UI without copying a permanent token. Invitations expire after five minutes; regeneration or a server restart invalidates them.
  • Improve structured replies after tool use without duplicating acknowledgements for successful background programming jobs.

QR setup grants the server owner’s existing access; it does not create a separate user or permission boundary. Existing PocketHook 1.3 clients and the durable delivery, attachment and per-instance service behavior from 0.7.0 remain supported. No new database migration is introduced by 0.8.0.

Read the QR setup guide and compatibility and upgrade instructions. Back up instance data and preserve local configuration before updating.

SDK 0.1.3 and pi packages 0.85.0 are unchanged. The attached signed/notarized Apple Bridge 0.6.0 and existing Safari companion bundles are identical to those in 0.7.0.

Validation: TypeScript check, 160 passing tests / 647 assertions, frozen dependency installation and release archive inspection. Runtime data, credentials and private workspace contents are excluded.

PocketHook Agent Server 0.7.0 accompanies PocketHook iOS 1.3. It adds durable Shortcut and Share Extension requests, authenticated image/document attachments, app and local photo links, and installation and pairing for Apple Bridge on Mac.

Queued requests have stable IDs, survive restarts and remain available until the app saves and acknowledges their results. Interrupted requests do not automatically repeat actions with side effects. Uploads default to a 25 MiB limit and 30-day expiry.

Uses pockethook-sdk 0.1.3 and pins pi-ai/pi-agent-core to 0.85.0. Your server, accounts and model remain under your control.

The repository includes the signed and notarized Apple Bridge 0.6.0 and existing Safari companion bundles. Apple Bridge requires macOS 14 or later; the Safari companion container requires macOS 26.5 or later. Apple Bridge source is not part of this release.

Read compatibility and upgrade instructions before upgrading, including backup of your instance data and review of enabled capabilities.

Validation: 144 tests / 566 assertions, TypeScript check, fresh frozen installs from the published SDK, signed/notarized companion checks, and privacy inspection of the release contents.
