Release v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 16 Sep 20:23
v0.6.0
fdecdc5

This minor release features one of the most important features of a terminal manipulation library: a way to style and colorise text. It comes with a slightly unusual API documented in the main library documentation.

Release v0.5.3

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 12 Sep 15:04
v0.5.3
080c147

This patch release fixes all of the broken docs.rs documentation showing on docs.rs by making sure docs.rs's build process documents items behind feature flag(s).

This release also features a migration from lexical-core to lexical-write-integer for a smaller dependency tree (I think).

Release 0.5.2

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 03 Sep 12:17
v0.5.2
539750e

This patch release features:

  • Making raw::disable_raw_mode a consuming method of RawTerminal instead of a standalone function
  • Derives of common traits on screen::AlternateScreenGuard
  • Other adjustments

Release v0.5.1

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 03 Sep 10:36
v0.5.1
78b5259

This patch release fixes some broken doctests in src/terminal_mode/raw.rs and src/screen.rs.

Release v0.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 03 Sep 10:34
v0.5.0
b524631

This release features a refactor of the terminal mode API. Raw mode and setting terminal attributes directly are now under the same module, with a re-export of the raw mode API at the top level.

This release also adds another method on ScreenControllerGuard in the screen module: inner_mut which explicitly provides an exclusive mutable reference to the inner ScreenController.

Release v0.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 03 Sep 09:43
v0.4.0
b12033e

This minor release features a redesign of the alternate screen API.

The alternate_screen module has been renamed to just screen. In the screen module, there is now a ScreenController trait which defines 2 methods: enter_alternate_screen and leave_alternate_screen. It is automatically implemented for any type implementing std::io::Write. This implementation does not automatically disable the alternate screen on Drop.

If the user wants to opt-in to making sure the alternate screen is disabled when the program exits, there is a ScreenControllerGuard struct wrapping any struct implementing ScreenController which adds disable-on-drop behaviour.

Release v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 02 Sep 12:23
v0.3.0
a0cf0b8

This minor release features:

  • Erase functions through the ClearInDisplay and ClearInLine traits in the erase module.
  • A removal of the full feature flag.
  • General adjustments.

Release v0.2.1

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 01 Sep 19:26
v0.2.1
1cd6081

Patch release v0.2.1

This patch release features:

  • A migration from the itoa crate to the
    lexical-core crate as it is more flexible and
    more perfomant according to the
    itoa benchmark.
  • Documentation improvements.
  • Tests for the CursorControls API.
  • README update

Release v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@polyagonal1 polyagonal1 released this 28 Aug 13:14
v0.2.0
811f389

This release removes the Terminal structure because it is now useless. This should hopefully bring longer-term benefits of having everything more modular rather than all tied to that Terminal struct.
