Refactor logic for updating member - consider patch for partial record updates of user. Important once email, profile picture, github username are editable from ui.

Improve default sorting mechanism for projects listed on /projects i.e. remove inactive projects, optimize for likelihood that dev will land on active project of interest. Consider filtering functionality for future.
