Setter/Getter Property Access

Hi ,
It could be very nice if you can provide setter / getter as in the ES6 . So that we could directly access property without having to call the functions explicitly .

👍 I would like this very much as well. Even better would be if there could be an option to ONLY generate setters/getters instead, so there aren't two ways to do things.

If this feature is implemented, it would help greatly with the grpc-web client side integration with other tools. E.g. I want to persist the message returned by grpc-web to a redux store, currently I have to do the following:

function action(req) {
  const gReq = new ProcessParams()
  gReq.setFoo(req.foo)
  gReq.setBar(req.bar)
  return client.startProcess(gReq)
  .then(resp => ({
    foo: resp.getFoo(),
    bar: resp.getBar(),
  }))

Whereas if this issue is resolved:

function action(req) {
  return client.startProcess(req)
}

or just:

const action = client.startProcess

@jackielii @cpx86 Consider using https://github.com/thesayyn/protoc-gen-ts.
It generates the fields as the way you want it to.

I think it should be implemented not only in js but in any language that supports getter / setter syntax.

Due to a lack of support in the closure compiler for optimizing this style of getters/setters we cannot currently adopt them.
