A chrome extension to bring back the old Facebook emojis
This extension will replace the new Facebook emojis with the old ones. Some newer emojis do not have an old emoji equivalent and therefore remain the same. If you want to define custom mappings of new emojis to old ones you can edit emojiMap.js. The extension currently only supports messenger.com.

Download oldFacebookEmojis-v0.1.0.crx

In chrome, navigate to chrome://extensions/

Drag and drop the .crx file into the extensions page to install it
Emojis on messenger.com will now be replaced with the old versions
