PEP 541 Request: sgl #3271

@rainy-lang

Description

@rainy-lang

Project to be claimed

sgl: https://pypi.org/project/sgl

Your PyPI username

rainylang: https://pypi.org/user/rainylang

Reasons for the request

The package name sgl was previously used for this project https://github.com/evernym/simple-grant-lang. However, this project has been deprecated.

I emailed the previous maintainer of the sgl package (@dhh1128), to inquire about purchasing the name and transferring ownership. I received a response saying they accepted my request and deleted the package:

Daniel Hardman 7:38 AM (6 hours ago)
I have deleted the project, freeing it for your use.
...

(The previous owner also replied to this issue below and verified this.)

As the project has now been deleted from pypi following my request, I would like to claim the name :)

However, when I try to upload my package, I got the following error:

WARNING Error during upload. Retry with the --verbose option for more details.
ERROR HTTPError: 400 Bad Request from https://upload.pypi.org/legacy/
         The name 'sgl' is too similar to an existing project. See https://pypi.org/help/#project-name for more
         information.

Could you help me claim the name of sgl? This case is very similar to a previously approved case (#2990)
