Reasons for the request

I am trying to publish the package "aurl", which uses aiohttp and aiofiles to organize parallel downloads and mirroring of a set of URL-s.

I think the name make sense, given this package's purpose. However, when I attempt to register this name, I get the error message:
HTTP Error 400: The name 'aurl' is too similar to an existing project. See https://pypi.org/help/#project-name for more information.

The only similar name I can find is aurlib, which had its last release in 2020. Note, however, that aurl is actually related to URL-s, while aurlib seems to be related only to the Arch package index.

I do not intend to replace any other package names. I only want to publish a new package and disregard the "name too similar" error.

There is an existing project name that is quite similar due to ultranormalization called auri. I am in the process of working with PyPI admins to have a feature that lets us release certain names, but it might take a while. So, I suggest perhaps going with another name for your project. Let us know how you would like to proceed.
