'Meter number is not registered (Error code: 8001)' in production

Hello, i am triying go to production, with use_test_server=False and date productions for meter number and more, but fedex create_shipment display: 'Meter number is not registered (Error code: 8001)'.

Help me please, thank you

I think you'll need to contact fedex support for this one. Let me know if you end up finding anything wrong in python-fedex, though.

For future reference, you need to make sure you modify the line in the WSDL for the production endpoint. Search for "https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/web-services/ship" and change it to "https://ws.fedex.com:443/web-services/ship". Also, you may need to clear the WSDL cache in suds in order for this change to take effect.

@drewyeaton You should never need to modify the WSDLs. The default is to use production.

You'll want to note the use_test_server there. Make sure that is False, which is the default. The unit tests specifically set this here: https://github.com/gtaylor/python-fedex/blob/master/tests/common.py

@gtaylor I should've clarified that you only need to do this if you're downloading the WSDLs from FedEx. When you get them directly from FedEx, they are for testing/staging access only. I believe WSDLs in this repo are already modified for production the way FedEx dev support requests (which is what I'm describing above).

I ran into this when using updated WSDL for shipping service too. Also had to clear cache after the client definition:

self.client.options.cache.clear()
