Proposal:
Hello dear Python users and developers,
I propose that we release a new major Python version: Python 4.0.
Pros:
- Allows us (CPython developers) to break literally everything with no regrets.
print()
will become a statement again, because nostalgia matters.- Walrus operator (
:=
) will be replaced with a real walrus emoji (🦦=) for improved readability. len()
will now be a method on all sequences, because "everything is an object."
Cons:
- Users might complain.
- Guido might come back just to stop us.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Should we skip straight to Python 5? 🚀🐍
