I have downloaded all four versions of QB version 4.5.2 and none will connect to trackers for any torrent I download to it. This is quite the pickle.
uTorrent was tested under the same conditions, and it is connecting to trackers without issue. I have verified multiple times that both torrent clients are under the VPN, and had them running at the same time.
This is a fresh install (all configs and data/appdata etc were deleted). So fresh bright shiny and new and same issue. uTorrent works QB does not. I have tried different VPN protocols, I have tried setting the network interface explicitly in QB, I have tried a couple dozen things Ive restarted countless times. Why would uTorrent work with no configuration and QB doesnt? I do not get what the issue is and after hours Ive come here.
Steps to reproduce
Download QB with fresh and cleaned installation
Get it behind a windscribe VPN (verify it is behind the VPN)
Try to download a torrent (random uhh free and open source anime for instance)
If you get this to work please show me your VPN protocol settings and what you did to QB.
Additional context
I have had this issue on and off for months with QB, and sometimes it just inexplicitly starts downloading (always behind a VPN with killswitch always on) Something strange is going on with QB.
I rather not go back to uTorrent, but it has had zero issue. But its also ugly as hell with ads and closed source. Help me Obi-Wan!
Also when I turn my VPN off (or the internet fluctuates) QB STILL CRASHES. Even the crash screen freezes. uTorrent doesn't crash. This is going to become a bigger issue the longer is its resolved... (this is over multiple diff systems, its not simply my setup) #17082
