v1.1.5 Azimuth 1.0.3 Hotfix
Community Garage 1.1.5
Fixes
- Fixed a crash on Azimuth 1.0.3 in game with Drivatars. The game used to crash a few seconds after loading Drivatars that wear liveries from the community server. The crash happened while the game was preparing those liveries. The mod already avoided it on Azimuth 0.9.10, and now does on every Azimuth version. (If you need the old behaviour, set
skip_livery_texture_streams=0under[azimuth]incommunitygarage\server.ini.) - Fixed a crash at logon with debug logging on. With
[debug] trace=1, the server's logon reply could arrive before the mod had finished starting up and crash the game.
Upgrading
- Close the game.
- Extract the zip into your Azimuth folder (next to
azimuth.exe), replacingfh2-mods\CommunityGarage.dll. - Make sure
DWrite.dllis now next toazimuth.exe. If Windows asks to replace it, say yes unless yours is newer than 2.7.4.
Your communitygarage\server.ini and saved designs are kept.
v1.1.4 Update for Azimuth
Community Garage 1.1.4
Adds support for Azimuth 1.0.3.
What's new
- Works with Azimuth 1.0.3. Sharing and downloading designs, tunes and liveries work the same as before.
Azimuth 0.9.10, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 are still supported by the mod itself. - Updated to FH2 Mod Platform 2.7.4. Azimuth 1.0.3 loads the platform as
DWrite.dll
instead ofd3dcompiler_47.dll, so the package now ships it under that name.
Installing / updating
- Close the game.
- Extract the zip into your Azimuth folder (the one with
azimuth.exe), keeping the folders as they are. - If Windows asks to replace
DWrite.dll, say yes.
Your account key and communitygarage\server.ini aren't touched by updating.
Notes
- This package contains
DWrite.dllonly. It no longer includesd3dcompiler_47.dll, so it won't load on
Azimuth 1.0.0 or earlier. If you are on one of those, stay on 1.1.3. - If you are updating from an older version and already have
d3dcompiler_47.dllin your Azimuth folder, you can
leave it or delete it. Azimuth 1.0.3 doesn't use it.
v1.1.3 Update for Azimuth 1.0.2
Community Garage 1.1.3
What's new
- Works with the newest Azimuth build (1.0.2). On unsupported Azimuth builds the mod now says so in platform.log and stays out of the way.
- Better error reporting: if the game stops accepting a server reply part-way, the mod now writes a line about it to platform.log instead of failing silently.
Good to know
- Very large liveries (over about 337 KB) can't be downloaded in the game: it shows "Design Unavailable". The community server now refuses to accept uploads above that size, so you'll see the share fail instead of getting a design nobody can open. If a share is refused, delete some layers and try again.
- Designs made with a layer limit patch are usually far too big for this. Please don't share them.
- A few older large liveries uploaded before this change are still on the server and can't be opened by anyone.
Install / update
Extract the zip into your Azimuth folder (the one with azimuth.exe), as in the README. Your account key in communitygarage\account.ini isn't touched.
v1.1.2 Option to opt out Server Rewards
Community Garage 1.1.2
Your account key has moved
- Your account key and creator name are now stored in
communitygarage\account.iniinstead ofserver.ini.
Updates no longer touch this file, so you can't lose your account by replacingserver.ini. - Nothing to do if you're updating. The first time you start the game, your existing key and name are
moved over automatically. - Back up
communitygarage\account.ini, and keep it private. It's your login. - To start a new account, delete
account.ini. The old "delete thekey=line" no longer applies. - The creator name still defaults to your gamertag. To change it, put
name=under[account]inaccount.ini.
New setting
- Use server economy values (Pause > Settings > MODS). It's on by default, as before. Turn it off to keep the
game's own built-in credit and XP payouts instead of the server's. Takes effect after a restart.
Notes
- If you copy your own
server.iniover the new one, you no longer need to keep an[account]section in it.
v1.1.1 Wine/Proton fixes
What's new
- Wine / Proton fixes (thanks to the author of PR #3). Server errors such as 401, 404 and 503 now show up as what they are instead of a generic
0x8007007a, and 0.9.10 no longer crashes a few minutes after logon on Wine. On 0.9.10, server-made liveries won't show on other drivers' cars. Tunes are unaffected.
Please test
The Wine / Proton changes have not been tested by the maintainer. If you play on Steam Deck, Linux or Mac, please report whether Find, Share and Download work, and attach fh2-mods\platform.log.
Installing / updating
- Close the game.
- Download
communitygarage-player.zipbelow and extract it into your Azimuth folder, overwriting the existing files. - Your settings and account are kept in
communitygarage\server.ini, so don't delete that file.
Troubleshooting
If the game crashes or sharing doesn't work, send us fh2-mods\platform.log from your Azimuth folder. Leave [debug] trace at 0 in server.ini. Turning it on can make Find and Suggested hang on "loading".
v1.1.0 Support for Azimuth 1.0.1
What's new
- Works with the latest Azimuth update. The October 2026 Azimuth update stopped Community Garage from connecting to the server and could crash the game. Both are fixed.
- Older Azimuth versions still work. The mod now detects which Azimuth build you have and picks the right settings.
- Safer with future Azimuth updates. If Azimuth is updated again before the mod catches up, Community Garage will switch off its Azimuth-specific parts instead of crashing the game. Sharing may not work until a new mod version is out.
Installing / updating
- Close the game.
- Download
communitygarage-player.zipbelow and extract it into your Azimuth folder, overwriting the existing files. - Your settings and account are kept in
communitygarage\server.ini, so don't delete that file.
Troubleshooting
If the game crashes or sharing doesn't work, send us fh2-mods\platform.log from your Azimuth folder.
v1.0.2 Fix requests failing when no gamertag is configured
Fix requests failing when no gamertag is configured
v1.0.1 - fixed a crash with tunes
Release notes
- Fixed a game crash that could happen when applying a downloaded tune whose saved car didn't match the car you're in. The mod now refuses that download with "This tune was made for a different car", so your car stays as it was. If such a tune still gets through, the game fits stock parts instead of crashing.
If you are updating from an earlier version
Do not replace communitygarage\server.ini
