Encounter Manager

The Encounter Manager gives Game-Masters the ability to quickly create combat encounters and check how balanced the combat encounter is against the players.

This tool is located in the navigation menu under Manage > Encounters

Usage

Create a new encounter by pressing the + Create button under the Saved Encounters panel. Doing so will create a new encounter which and will spawn a new Edit Encounter panel below which allows you to manage the encounter. You may name the encounter so that it is easier to find in the future if you have many different encounters

In the Edit Encounter panel you can add NPC character types or NPC vessels to the encounter either as an ally or as an enemy of the players. You can make encounters ship vs ship, characters vs characters, or mixed with both ships and characters participating. Any NPC you add to the encounter will either show up on the left hand side if they are an ally of the Players and on the right if they are an enemy. All Player vessels and characters will also show up on the allied side.

A bar across the top of the encounter indicates the relative strength of each side. If the bar is more green than red then the Players have the advantage, if the bar is more red than green then the NPC enemies have the advantage in the fight. GMs may use this bar to help them balance combat encounters by adding or removing NPCs as necessary.

Each NPC character can have their stress level easily modified on this page without going to the character's character sheet, though it can be done there too. Clicking the view button under any character in the encounter will show you the character's sheet. Pressing the red x button will remove them from the encounter.
