No migration. Nothing is moved or deleted.

Memory

  • An agent's own first person was saved as the user's (#265). Every save
through the tool interface was extracted as if the user had said it, so an
agent writing "I prefer short answers" produced the fact "the user prefers
short answers". A save from an agent now speaks as that agent. The stored
text never changed; only the derived facts were wrong.
    • remember, slm remember --speaker and POST /remember take an optional
speaker: a name, or user when an agent saves the user's own words.
    • slm repair-speaker lists memories whose facts were affected (dry run) and,
with --yes, re-derives them. Each repair can be undone with
      slm review-correction.
    • Saves from the command line, hooks and the dashboard are unchanged.

Upgrades

  • A damaged keyword index stopped the daemon from starting (#204). The
safety copy taken before a migration reproduced the damage, failed its
integrity check, and the upgrade stopped there. When the keyword index is the
only damage, the copy is now taken with that index rebuilt from the stored
facts, and the log says to run slm db repair --apply for the store itself.
Any other damage still stops the migration.

Everything else

  • A one-time GitHub star request after slm setup and your first successful
recall in a terminal, a link in slm help and the dashboard, and a one-time
note in the VS Code extension. Never in tool output, hooks or --json.
  • Mesh: under heavy load a heartbeat or registration could lose the race for
the database and return an error. Mesh writes now retry longer, and a busy
moment answers "retry shortly" (503) instead of an error trace. No message
    was ever affected.
  • The daemon raises its open-file limit at start (macOS gives a launchd
service only 256). Under load the vector store ran out and a new memory's
vector copy waited for a restart; it was always findable by keyword.
  • Tool counts in the docs: full is 58 tools, 5 more while images are on.
  • docs/RELEASE-CHECKLIST.md lists every registry a release goes to.
