_brand.yml does not include the logo in and prevents typst from rendering

I have:

• searched the issue tracker for similar issues
• installed the latest version of Quarto CLI
• formatted my issue following the Bug Reports guide

Bug description

I would like to use _brand.yml for reveal.js, typst, and dashboards in Quarto. I would especially like to use a logo for all outputs. Thank you for _brand already.

It works perfectly for reveal.js.

However, the logo is not included in the dashboard.

Typst does not render at all.

Any help is much appreciated.

First, you are playing with fire with your structure.
Quarto expects projects to be self-contained. Single documents are "projects".

Here you have multiple projects and you are using paths outside of the projects.

Note that issues are not for help/support requests as explained in the template menu and in the issue template description.

You can use multi-formats also.
I'm not saying there is no bug (looking into it) but you are in a setup where basic design structure of what is a Quarto project is not respected, so issues are likely to arise.

There is indeed an issue as the logo path should be resolved relatively to the path of the _brand.yml file, but that's not the case, leading to the issue.

edit: the path resolution is an issue for all formats here. The "workaround" is to make the logo path relative to the document(s).

Thanks, when I adjsut the file path for the logo in the _brand.yml and move typst_test.qmd into the root everything works.

I already have a fix for this on a branch... previously we were not doing path resolution for logo in all cases. I added some in 1.8, but missed this one.
