Meetings hold on to the other side's audio better, the menu bar works over full-screen apps, and Auto Enter now works in apps like Claude.
What changed
- Clicking the menu bar icon while another app is in full screen opens Transcripted again.
- Auto Enter can confirm pastes in Electron apps like Claude and Slack, so it presses send there too.
- If the other side's audio drops to silence mid-call, Transcripted notices and reconnects instead of recording silence for the rest of the meeting.
- Dictating during a meeting no longer puts your dictated words into the meeting's mic track.
- Meetings started from a detected call can stop on their own a little after the call ends. Any audio during the countdown cancels it, and Continue keeps recording.
- Naming a speaker in an imported or older meeting now teaches Transcripted their voice when the meeting's audio is still on disk.
- Speaker review plays the clip that matches the quote it shows.
- Fewer people get merged into one speaker.
- The Meetings page count now counts only meetings.
- If Writing can't save your last few minutes of typing (say the library's drive is unplugged), Quit asks before going ahead instead of silently refusing to quit.
- Dictation no longer waits on the previous take's audio save before pasting.
- Saved writing hides more passwords typed right after a sudo or ssh prompt, and older day files get rescrubbed with the new rules.
- Write for Me (Developer Preview, off by default): press fn and it drafts your next message from what's on screen. Turn it on in Settings › Developer Preview.
- Lots of smaller reliability fixes for starting and stopping dictation and meetings, speaker renames and deletes, moving the capture library, and the MCP server.
Requires macOS 26 or later and Apple Silicon.
