YAML introduction

YAML stands for "YAML Ain't Markup Language" and is a human-readable data serialisation language. Its footprint is smaller than XML and more readable compared to JSON.

DeTT&CT uses YAML files to administrate data sources, visibility, techniques and groups. The following file types can be identified:

• Data sources administration:
  • sample-data/data-sources-endpoints.yaml
• Technique administration (visibility and detection coverage)
  • sample-data/techniques-administration.yaml
• Groups administration
  • sample-data/groups.yaml

Editing YAML files

• To edit YAML files, we highly recommend using the DeTT&CT Editor.
  • The Editor is operating entirely client-side.
