Unable to SSH into server (Invalid Password)

Hi,

I'm trying to SSH into my linux server and it's giving me incorrect password.
It's correct as iTerm lets me in no dramas, and I tried putting in the password 8 times.

Am i doing something wrong?

Running: ssh user@server.com

Does it contain any special characters? It might be related to #351

Nope no special characters. Just abc and 123 on a standard US keyboard

Are you able to enter your password with different commands? I just tried it with sudo (unfortunately, have no server to SSH into) and it worked.

I can do "sudo ls" and enter my password, which works fine. However my mac's password, and my SSH's server is different.

I've noticed when it prompts for a password, the blinking cursor sits on the previous line, and not where it's asking for the password (I'm aware that it doesn't show characters).

Quick update - I updated my servers password to "12345678", works no problems. I tried "apple123" also works. I also tried "APPLEFRUIT", and it doesn't work. I changed it to "BANANA123" and it also does not work. It seems to be an issue with capitals.

Still does not sadly. I use capitals and numbers. Such as AP12PLE.

Any updates on this issue? I am still having trouble "ssh"ing with passwords that have capital letters 😕
