Windows updates itself in the background. The macOS build is not notarized: on first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

Open is the only verb, so Oculis now has a face: an eye that opens.

• A new mark, an open eye whose lids are arcs of equal circles laid on a 3 : 4 : 5 triangle
• One brand color, Iris #2B44FF, for the pupil and the app icon only. Documents stay GitHub
• A new app icon, drawn from the vector at every size from 16 to 1024 px
• The empty window shows a closed eye. Drag a file in and it opens
• Dragging a file in blurs the window behind a dashed frame. Dragging text or links does not
• The design guide lives in design/identity.html. bun run icons regenerates every asset from scripts/brand.js

The first release. Oculis opens Markdown and renders it the way GitHub does, Mermaid diagrams included.

• GitHub Flavored Markdown with alerts, footnotes and heading anchors, styled by github-markdown-css
• Mermaid diagrams by Pele, in GitHub Primer colors, light and dark
• Diagrams lay out again as the window narrows, and zoom with a double-click or Ctrl + scroll
• A broken diagram shows its error in place, the rest of the page still renders
• Live reload when the file changes on disk
• Nothing in the document runs, diagrams included
