v0.0.9: faster startup, clearer read-only mode, safer saves

[chaxus]

v0.0.9 is now live on edit.chaxus.com. Reload an open tab to pick it up; nothing to install.

Highlights

• Faster first load. The editor's startup JavaScript went from about 350 KB to 84 KB (gzip). Optional parts such as the AI assistant, install prompts and extra languages now load only when you use them.
• Read-only mode now looks read-only (#298). Only the File and View tabs stay, so search, zoom and navigation remain while editing buttons are hidden. Switching read-only off brings everything back.
• Safer saving and recovery. Edits made while a save or export is running stay protected. Exporting to PDF or another format no longer touches your original file. Reloading after a save reopens what you saved.
• A more capable AI assistant. Dictation, searchable conversation history, follow-up queues, progress hints while it works, and formatted replies as they arrive. External MCP and Google Drive connectors were removed; local file references stay.
• Docker over plain HTTP works in Chrome again (#267).
• No more flash on load. The language menu no longer pops open for a moment while the page loads.

Thanks to @waseeen (#298) and @taurusxin (#267) for the reports, and to @tkchan002 for the Euro-Office question in #285.
