- npm/Glama metadata: added a metadata-only
package.json at the repository root declaring the published package name @raultov/chrome-debug-mcp, so package registries and the Glama MCP directory can link the listing to the npm package (version badge, download counter, Resources → NPM Package). It is not an installable package: the real npm shim is generated and published by cargo-dist on each release, and a prepublishOnly script blocks accidental publishes from the repo root. package.json is excluded from the crates.io tarball.
- Release guard: new
make version-check gate (wired into make check) fails when package.json drifts from the Cargo.toml version, keeping the npm/Glama metadata in sync across releases.

- README: added npm version and npm downloads-per-month badges to the header, and extended the intro paragraph to state the install story up front —
npx -y @raultov/chrome-debug-mcp, Homebrew, or a one-line installer, no Rust toolchain required — while keeping Rust as the headline implementation detail.
