AdminKit 0.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@RbnCore RbnCore released this 31 Oct 14:50

AdminKit is the shared admin base for the RBN WordPress plugins. It is REQUIRED by
WPSeoKit, ContentHealth, CookieKit and SecurityKit: install and activate AdminKit first.

What is new in 0.1.3:

  • Module panels update in place. When you flip a module switch, the panel that belongs
    to it appears or disappears immediately, without a page reload: the Database
    maintenance tools and the System Health report show up as soon as the module is on,
    and their scripts start on the spot. Turning a module off removes its panel the same
    way. If the panel cannot be fetched, a notice says so and offers a Reload link instead
    of leaving an out-of-date panel on the screen; screen readers are told that the panel
    was updated.
  • Setup hints no longer tell you to press Save. Where an off module used to say "turn it
    on and press Save", it now says the switch applies right away — the switch really
    applies immediately, so the old wording was misleading. The same wording is used by
    the color theme, Database maintenance and System Health, and the Turkish translation
    follows it.

Everything from 0.1.2 is included: System Health, Database maintenance, settings export
and import, instant switches, toast notices, the single settings engine, the central
security layer, the shared update card, the plugin catalog and the sticky save bar.

The package is signed (Ed25519) and its SHA-256 digest is published next to it.

Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 8.0+. (The "Requires Plugins" dependency check that
blocks activation without AdminKit exists in WordPress 6.5+.)

AdminKit 0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@RbnCore RbnCore released this 31 Oct 13:27

AdminKit is the shared admin base for the RBN WordPress plugins. It is REQUIRED by
WPSeoKit, ContentHealth, CookieKit and SecurityKit: install and activate AdminKit first.

What is new in 0.1.2:

  • System Health: a read-only report of the server, the database and WP-Cron on its own
    tabs, with a button that copies the report for support.
  • Database maintenance: shows what can be cleaned (revisions, expired transients,
    orphan meta), previews the count, asks for an explicit confirmation and deletes in
    batches.
  • Settings export and import: download the settings of all RBN plugins as one JSON
    file, preview what will change, then apply it in one step; the write is atomic and a
    file that fails validation changes nothing.
  • Instant switches: where a screen offers them, a setting takes effect as soon as the
    switch is flipped; a change that can lock you out asks for confirmation first.
  • Toast notices, and one shared toast and confirm component for every RBN plugin.
  • One settings engine for every module: schema-based fields, a live preview,
    per-section error messages and a single write path. Two simultaneous saves no longer
    overwrite each other.
  • Central security layer: admin actions go through one capability, nonce and origin
    gate; database access goes through one query gate.
  • One shared update card on the settings screen of all five plugins.
  • The plugin catalog installs SecurityKit as well (it is released in the same batch, so
    the catalog shows an Install button for it).
  • The sticky save bar appears only on the visible tab and only while the form is dirty;
    inner tabs follow the browser back and forward buttons, and every screen has one
    page heading.
  • Fixes: the privacy mask matches whole words only, a cache flush also removes rows of
    older cache versions, and the accent color no longer leaks into WordPress' own
    buttons and links.

The package is signed (Ed25519) and its SHA-256 digest is published next to it.

Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 8.0+. (The "Requires Plugins" dependency check that
blocks activation without AdminKit exists in WordPress 6.5+.)

AdminKit 0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@RbnCore RbnCore released this 29 Oct 21:26

AdminKit 0.1.1 is the shared admin base for the RBN WordPress plugins (WPSeoKit, ContentHealth, CookieKit require it).

What's new

  • One central, signed updater for all RBN plugins (SHA-256 + Ed25519 signature check, GitHub releases only). The new Updates card is on Settings → General. When the central network switch is off, nothing is sent to GitHub (downloads included).
  • Download safety: 8 MB size limit while downloading, foreign or unsigned packages are rejected on every path (update and install), version downgrades are blocked, first registration of a plugin slug wins, rejected packages are written to the log.
  • Catalog now lists all four RBN plugins as released; the update badge sits next to the version.
  • Shared helpers (Helpers\Menu, Icons, Http, Db) replace code that used to be copied between plugins.
  • Cache fix: version counters are stored per group and incremented atomically, so a flush can no longer bring stale cache back.
  • Unused code, strings and files removed. Turkish translation (tr_TR) updated.

Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 8.0+. Verify the download with the attached .sha256 and .sig.
