@Keaycee that had been done. But good observation.
|
Thanks @ResonanceXX I think africa has a big market for the future crypto Rchain.. But a lot of marketing has to be done to educate individuals on it. |

Sorry about the nomenclature confusion. @lapin7 and I don't like having punctuation in addresses but that's a personal opinion. We must follow the conventions on the existing social media channels, so we use the underscore. Thus https://t.me/rchain_africa is consistent with the other channels. (However, in titles we have to option to dispense with the underscore.) Note that with Telegram both upper and lowercase character combinations work in URLs (so RChain_Africa == rchain_africa). We always use lowercase when publicizing these links. |
You did not weigh in on the discussion. These actions were taken at parallel to each other. And for me, that is never a good sign.
|
Don't see it as a bad sign. That's the challenge of working remotely, things sometimes happen simultaneously. When that happens it seems like double work but we shouldn't see it that way. It's a team effort, we support each other, and we learn from the work that was done. That improves the team. |
yes the double work is a function of redundancy and as long as we communicate and make necessary edits to consolidate the work we are good to go. Let me know if there is anything in specific you would like to penetrate African market as I have little information about the countries that are progressing with blockchain. |
@kitblake that's a very nice emblem. Can we use it on the telegram group? nice work |
Good emblem @kitblake. Can You make it green in background than black, I think green is associated with Africa. |
Green is a holy color for Moslims. I know that Heineken had a problem with their green tins of beer. |
The image was created by @ResonanceXX (and a designer friend I think). It would work for the Telegram group, indeed. 👍 for the graphic artist's work :) |
Thanks @ResonanceXX. Nice that he is a local contributor too. The idea of superimposing the RChain logo on an outline of the continent is simple and effective. We could do the same for others, e.g. RChain South America. So yeah, I'm all for using it for the group. Let's try it out! |
How about something like this? Would it still be impeding? Green stands for peace too, and I think it represents Africa to a large extent(most African countries do have at least a glint of green in their flags, and and think that's a plus to the logo being green). Heineken is an alcoholic beer, I supposed that's more reasons that didn't go well with the Moslems ("Beer isn't holy, so shouldn't be labelled with a holy color", perhaps that was the argument). |
@BelovedAquila The first map with a black, green and the red RChain logo look good, Nice Work and keep it up. @kitblake Thank you for your idea, we moving forward. @lapin7 good observation, but RChain is not a consumable commodity neither is there any world restriction about using the color green because is a muslim holy color. RChain is not about Religion or Race and it have no link to it in any area. Well thanks for the observation. |
We do not have to have approval from the governance committee. Imho the second one, with the black background and the logo in the center of the continent, looks the best. This one: This concept – with the continent and superimposed logo – will also work with the new logo that the Cooperative has designed. That logo will be put into production in the coming weeks. So we shouldn't spend too much time fussing with the logo itself. But we definitely need a different emblem for the group now. |
@kitblake That was same logo i was pointing out, it's the best. I will use it as a logo on the RChain_Africa Telegram group https://t.me/rchain_africa . I've got plans to get people into the group and also educate them about RChain cooperative. We may need to create a new Template or edit an existing template suitable for Africa. |
Looks great in the group! Especially in the Telegram overview, it stands out now. I also like how this image doesn't snip off the corners of the continent. That was a fruitful collaboration :) |
Nice work @BelovedAquila, that's the image I had in mind. I think the image covers the concept of African continent. The black background is ORIGINAL, the green representing life and more Interestingly, the lines across it showing fragments that are joint together to form a whole and meaning. That's cooperation. |
Green means different things to people. If Muslim's have a problem with the color. RChain must not be seen as intolerant. Due consideration, always, has to be given to sensitivity and perception of our most eager desires. Play around some other colors that are more friendly. So to speak.

Good.

Well, the RChain_Africa Telegram group still have some setup to be done. @lapin7 Thank you for understanding. @BelovedAquila and @kitblake Nice collaboration work. Collaboration is the key to brand new innovation and impacts. Good job everyone |
We are making progress, i've got the group butler bot installed on RChain_Africa telegram group with some welcome message and rules template set on it. |
Would there be need to get a comprehensive list of national language adopted by the different African countries? I did like to get them so we could consider translating some of the documents and video for the group before the need for it becomes so much impending as now the group is still growing and so we could manage it. |
I'd suggest adding a member number goal as per the Jan 29 suggestion of @dckc. For all telegram related issues like #225 which currently only has 13 members. This will prevent unnecessary spending of budgets for issues that do not produce results. Though, I would be alert for potential exploits where bots/members are added to boost the numbers and produce the results. I have added the combot to both of these telegram chats to monitor the health of this chat : http://combot.org/chat/-1001196019499 |
@Keaycee I think this issue can be closed, yes? Seems like the goal has been achieved. I'll close the issue for now, but feel free to re-open if needed. |
The RChain_Africa is geared towards the following goals:
Creating this awareness across the African Continent will expand RChain cooperative into communities with young, vibrant populace.
