@rem700 rem700 released this 30 Oct 11:10
v1.0.0
c0cbf16

First public release.

Install: download steady-speed-1.0.0.zip below → WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → activate. Then open your site in a private window and check that it looks and works as before.

  • Minifies and combines CSS (only neighbouring files — the cascade never changes), puts small stylesheets into the page.
  • Defers scripts in their original order, inline ones too; document.write and excluded scripts keep their place.
  • Lazy-loads images and iframes, marks the main image fetchpriority="high" when the theme did not.
  • Test mode, ?nooptimize=1, original page on any error, warning when another optimizer is active.
  • Translations: Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, German.

Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 7.4+ (tested up to PHP 8.4). Plugin Check: no errors or warnings.
