MooMole is an unofficial macOS graphical client for Mole CLI. Version 0.2.0 adds quicker cleanup review, AI-assisted investigation and a multilingual interface.

What's new since 0.1.0

  • Quick cleanup: one scan brings together cleanup candidates, applications and home-folder space usage. Search, filter, protect and review items by category. Only eligible, freshly checked help/icon caches are selected by default. The final confirmation can move supported user caches and ordinary logs to Trash; up to 20 items per batch.
  • AI deep scan: use an existing local Codex CLI or Claude Code installation to explain Mole candidates and selected-folder metadata. Sending paths, names, types, sizes and modification times to the agent's model service requires explicit consent and uses your own quota. File contents are not sent. Suggestions start unselected and must pass the existing cleanup review and execution checks. Extra findings remain verification clues. Claude's bare mode requires API/provider credentials; a subscription login alone is insufficient, and live end-to-end validation is pending. Gemini CLI and OpenCode are detection-only.
  • Three interface languages: Simplified Chinese, English and Japanese, with system-language detection, a saved manual choice and switching without restarting.
  • Desktop interaction: restored window dragging and restrained task animations, respecting reduced-motion preferences.
  • Mole CLI 1.65.0: bundled from pinned upstream commit 308bf9911179ddfa40e5df9fdc42095a18ba5cfc, with updated rule/source checks and Steam data protection. This does not expose every upstream command in the GUI.
  • Updated README screenshots and reusable SVG brand assets.

Installation and updates

Requires macOS 14 or later. Download MooMole-0.2.0-mac-arm64.dmg for Apple Silicon or MooMole-0.2.0-mac-x64.dmg for Intel. Verify the size and SHA-512 below or against SHA512SUMS, open the DMG, and copy MooMole to Applications. Quit the previous version normally before replacing it; settings and history remain in the app's data directory.

The app and bundled executables use free ad-hoc signing, without Apple Developer ID signing or notarization. macOS may require a user decision on first open; follow Apple's security guidance. MooMole does not disable Gatekeeper or remove security attributes. Existing users can use Settings → About → Check for updates to download and verify the DMG, then install it manually.

Scope and known limits

  • Cleanup handles supported user-cache files/strict folders and ordinary logs. Uncertain, protected, changed or expired objects are retained. Moving to Trash does not immediately free space; cancellation stops only work that has not started.
  • Uninstall moves one eligible ordinary app bundle to Trash after separate confirmation; settings, caches and personal data outside the bundle stay in place. Maintenance execution remains limited to the two-step Quick Look refresh, without one-click undo. Other maintenance items, project artifacts, installers and personal large files remain read only.
  • Interrupted or unverified operations are not automatically replayed. Check history and actual objects before recovery; use Finder to retrieve Trash items without overwriting existing files.
  • Both architectures receive automated checks and installer validation. Native Intel interaction, first open after a public quarantined download, cross-version installation/permission behavior, the full fault/recovery matrix and complete corresponding-source/license review remain incomplete. This research release does not claim full production acceptance.

  • 三语界面： 简体中文、英语、日语，支持跟随系统、保存手动选择和免重启切换。
  • 桌面交互： 恢复窗口拖动，加入克制的任务动效，并尊重减少动态效果偏好。
  • Mole CLI 1.65.0： 内置引擎固定至上游提交 308bf9911179ddfa40e5df9fdc42095a18ba5cfc，更新规则/来源校验及 Steam 数据保护；不代表 GUI 已开放上游全部命令。
  • 更新 README 截图和可复用 SVG 品牌素材。

安装和更新

要求 macOS 14 或更新版本。Apple Silicon 下载 MooMole-0.2.0-mac-arm64.dmg，Intel 下载 MooMole-0.2.0-mac-x64.dmg。核对下方或 SHA512SUMS 中的大小和 SHA-512，打开 DMG，将 MooMole 复制到“应用程序”。替换前正常退出旧版；设置和历史保留在应用数据目录。

App 和内嵌程序采用免费 ad-hoc 签名，没有 Apple Developer ID 签名或公证。首次打开可能需要用户依据 Apple 安全说明自行确认。MooMole 不关闭 Gatekeeper、不移除安全属性。已有用户可在 设置 → 关于 → 检查更新 下载并验证 DMG，再手动安装。

支持范围与已知限制

  • 清理支持限定的用户缓存普通文件/严格目录和普通日志；未知、受保护、变化或过期对象会保留。移入废纸篓不等于立即释放空间；取消只停止尚未开始的操作。
  • 卸载经独立确认后仅移动单个符合条件的普通 App 包，包外设置、缓存和个人数据保留。维护执行仍仅开放两步 Quick Look 刷新，没有一键撤销；其他维护项、工程产物、安装包和个人大文件保持只读。
  • 中断或待核实操作不会自动重放。恢复前请检查历史和实际对象，在 Finder 取回废纸篓对象时避免覆盖已有文件。
  • 双架构均进行自动化检查和安装包校验。Intel 原生交互、公开隔离下载后的首次打开、跨版本安装/权限行为、完整故障恢复矩阵和完整对应源码/许可审阅仍未完成。本研究版本不宣称已通过完整生产验收。

  • デスクトップ操作： ウィンドウのドラッグを復旧し、控えめなタスクアニメーションを追加。動きを減らす設定にも従います。

インストールとアップデート

macOS 14 以降が必要です。Apple Silicon は MooMole-0.2.0-mac-arm64.dmg、Intel は MooMole-0.2.0-mac-x64.dmg を選んでください。下記または SHA512SUMS のサイズと SHA-512 を照合し、DMG を開いて MooMole を「アプリケーション」にコピーします。置き換える前に旧版を通常終了してください。設定と履歴はアプリのデータフォルダに保持されます。

App と内蔵プログラムは無料の ad-hoc 署名を使用し、Apple Developer ID 署名や Apple 公証はありません。初回起動時は Apple のセキュリティ説明に従って判断してください。MooMole は Gatekeeper を無効化せず、安全属性も削除しません。既存ユーザーは 設定 → この App について → アップデートを確認から DMG をダウンロード・検証し、手動でインストールできます。

対応範囲と既知の制限

  • クリーンアップは条件を満たすユーザーキャッシュの通常ファイル・厳格なフォルダと通常ログに限ります。不明・保護対象・変更・期限切れの項目は保持します。ゴミ箱への移動で直ちに空き容量は増えません。キャンセルは未開始の処理のみを止めます。
  • アンインストールは別途確認後、対応する通常 App バンドル 1 件のみを移動します。バンドル外の設定、キャッシュ、個人データは保持します。メンテナンス実行は Quick Look の 2 段階更新のみで、ワンクリックの取り消しはありません。他のメンテナンス項目、ビルド生成物、インストーラー、個人の大きなファイルは読み取り専用です。
  • 中断・要照合の操作は自動再実行しません。復元前に履歴と実物を確認し、Finder でゴミ箱から取り戻す際は既存ファイルを上書きしないでください。
  • 両アーキテクチャで自動チェックとインストーラー検証を行います。Intel でのネイティブ操作、公開ダウンロード後の隔離状態での初回起動、異なる版間のインストール・権限動作、完全な障害・復元の検証、完全な対応ソース・ライセンス審査は未完了です。本研究リリースは本番利用の全面的な受け入れ完了を表明しません。

Both candidate archives were downloaded and checked against GitHub's size/SHA-256, then checked for payload SHA-512, source/dependency binding, all three executable signatures/architectures, and read-only DMG mounting and detachment. The signed app version is 0.2.0 and bundled Mole is 1.65.0.

两份候选均已实际下载，核对 GitHub 大小/SHA-256、全部有效载荷 SHA-512、源码/依赖绑定、三处程序签名/架构及只读 DMG 挂载/卸载。签名 App 版本为 0.2.0，内置 Mole 为 1.65.0。
