4.1.0 - Silverstripe 6
The Silverstripe 6 line, rebuilt on top of the maintained code. Silverstripe 4/5 projects stay on ^3 (branch 3.x), which gets security and bug fixes until Silverstripe 5 EOL in April 2027.
composer require restruct/silverstripe-admintweaks:^4 # Silverstripe 6
composer require restruct/silverstripe-admintweaks:^3 # Silverstripe 4 / 5
Requires PHP ^8.3 and silverstripe/framework ^6.
If you are already on 4.0.x
4.0.0-4.0.2 came from an earlier Silverstripe 6 attempt that shipped without tests, with one of the six tasks, and with symbiote/silverstripe-gridfieldextensions as a hard requirement. This release restores the full module and makes that dependency optional again - so if your project used it only because admintweaks pulled it in, require it explicitly first:
composer require symbiote/silverstripe-gridfieldextensions
Changed
- Hiding the Reports and Campaigns CMS menu items is opt-in (#54), via
SilverStripe\\Admin\\LeftAndMain.hide_rarely_used_menu_sections. Applied at runtime, so the oldAfter: '#admintweaks-leftandmain'workaround is no longer needed and can be deleted. (No behaviour change if you are coming from 4.0.x - that did not hide them either.) - Tasks are symfony/console commands -
--applyrather thanapply=1,--filter='Field:Op=Value'rather than bracket notation. Check your crons.
Fixed
FocusPointInvertYaxisTaskzeroed every focus point instead of inverting it - the update used a single-quoted column name, which is a string literal in every MySQL mode.- Outbound HTTP requests were unbounded (Guzzle ships no default timeout) and failures were never cached, so a dead upstream was re-requested on every call - the mechanism behind the outage in #55.
- Two classes extending optional dependencies could fatal the entire application at bootstrap on installs lacking those modules. Also fixed on the 3.x line in 3.20.7.
