First gated release — every binary below was built, E2E tested against a seeded LocalStack environment, and then signed & published only if the tests passed.

Downloads

  • macOS (Apple Silicon): RiftView-0.2.0.dmg or RiftView-0.2.0-arm64-mac.zip
  • Linux: RiftView-0.2.0.AppImage

Auto-update metadata (latest-mac.yml, latest-linux.yml) is included for electron-updater.

What's new since v0.1.0

Testing Pipelines (M1–M5) — the CI/release infrastructure behind this release:

  • Parallel fast (lint/typecheck/unit) and e2e (IPC contract + LocalStack-backed CLI integration + Playwright Electron E2E) jobs on every PR
  • Structural IPC contract test — catches channel/handler/preload drift before it becomes a runtime bug
  • LocalStack + Terraform-seeded integration fixtures for the CLI (scan, risks, drift, diff)
  • Playwright Electron E2E harness with demo-mode fixture seeding — runs against both the dev entry (PR tier) and the signed binary (release tier)
  • Release gate: the release CI job now builds an unsigned binary, runs @release E2E against it, and only then builds signed and publishes. Linux runs the full LocalStack-backed scan-blast-radius spec; macOS runs a demo-mode boot smoke.
  • lefthook pre-commit for format + lint on staged files

Product changes

  • Timeline strip — visible UI for the snapshot history store
  • Snapshot canonical core extracted to @riftview/shared so the CLI and desktop can reuse snapshot primitives
  • Assorted fixes: bundling @riftview/shared into the desktop main/preload, About modal REPO URL, repo reorganisation

Known notes

  • macOS release coverage uses a lighter demo-mode smoke (no LocalStack). Full LocalStack-backed coverage remains Linux-only until Docker-on-mac becomes viable on current GHA Apple Silicon runners.
  • Windows builds are deferred — Tier 2 roadmap item.
