Optional extras for best results
These aren't required — the app works fully out of the box — but installing
them unlocks higher-quality conversions and compression:
- Ghostscript — enables aggressive lossy PDF compression (without it,
compression is lossless but more modest). - LibreOffice (or Microsoft Office on Windows) — enables pixel-perfect
Word/PowerPoint ⇄ PDF conversion via native document engines.
Known limitations
- Unsigned binaries. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Code
signing is planned for a future release. - No installer/auto-updater yet — download the new version manually for
future releases.
