This alpha release adds optional WASIX checkpoint migration and fixes the dependency and CI failures blocking maintenance updates.

  • Patch Wasmtime to 46.0.3, h2 to 0.4.19, and rustls to 0.23.45 to resolve the reported security advisories. Replace the yanked chacha20 version.
  • Add isolated WASIX worker execution, authenticated checkpoint capture and restore, and a migration test between separate workers.
  • Update Tokio to 1.53.1, Serde to 1.0.229, serde_json to 1.0.151, thiserror to 2.0.19, and wit-component to 0.254.0.
  • Regenerate the WASI HTTP fixtures and synchronize fuzz dependencies and packaged-consumer checks.
  • Update the pinned checkout, Rust cache, provenance, and uv setup actions. Support crates.io trusted publishing when no API key is configured.

The release targets Linux x86_64 and requires Rust 1.94. WASIX features remain opt-in. Checkpoint format version 2 requires byte-identical source and destination worker builds.

The assets include the source crate, a CycloneDX SBOM, and SHA-256 checksums with build provenance.
