Sorry for the delayed response. There's a change that I'm going to merge in soon from Rectangle that provides an alternative blurred window, and I'd like to add in more customization on top of that. In current Rectangle Pro, you can tweak some of these settings with Terminal commands. Restart the app after executing them. Modify the "footprint" displayed for drag to snap areaAdjust the alpha (transparency). Default is 0.3. defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot footprintAlpha -float <VALUE_BETWEEN_0_&_1>Change the border width. Default is 2. defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot footprintBorderWidth -float <NUM_PIXELS>Disable the fade. defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot footprintFade -int 2Change the color. defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot footprintColor -string "{\"red\":0,\"blue\":0.5,\"green\":0.5}" |

Problem
I like creating layouts on the fly and so use the throw option with cursor movement a lot. Maybe it's because of using dark mode and a black background, but I find the target hard to see. I don't use gaps either, so for example "half left" and "half right" look almost the same: a vertical line in the middle of the screen. The semi-transparent shading of the target are is subtle on dark windows or invisible on a black desktop background; the border doesn't stand out much either along the edges of the screen.
When I am moving a window to a target area, that's the most important thing to me in the moment. It doesn't have to be subtle, I want it to be immediately obvious what the target area right now is. This makes for a faster feedback look between me moving my mouse and the selected target area, and reduces the chance of accidentally picking the wrong area.
Suggested solution
Allow the user to change some or all of these properties of the target area indicator (in order of importance imo):
4 Border thickness
