About
The NewspaperWorks project began in early 2016 when members from the Boston Public Library and the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah began meeting to discuss developing newspapers specific functionality based on the Samvera framework. These meetings resulted in the drafting of the Historical Newspapers in Hydra: Building a platform to restore access to cultural treasures which was ultimately awarded in 2017.
This gem is part of a project developed in a collaboration between The University of Utah, J. Willard Marriott Library and Boston Public Library, as part of a "Newspapers in Samvera" project grant funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
The development team is grateful for input, collaboration, and support we receive from the Samvera Community, related working groups, and our project's advisory board.
