RepoDNA v1.4.5 focuses on reproducible, privacy-conscious native evidence
ranking diagnostics, regression coverage, and local-first reliability.
Highlights
- Strengthen offline ranker training with deterministic ordering, canonical
repository split validation, and rejection of unsafe evidence labels. - Add labeled holdout score diagnostics (Brier score, log loss, and calibration
bands), baseline retrieval comparisons, and answerability threshold sweeps. - Keep native AI extractive and opt-in without third-party model APIs, automatic
weight downloads, or unsupported generative claims. - Test the complete ranker training CLI, checkpoint generation, output fields,
overwrite protection, and repository leakage rejection across platforms. - Preserve the existing offline browser, desktop, CLI, and GitHub Action
workflows with release-candidate quality and security checks.
Tests
- Add executable-level regression tests for native ranker training and the
versioned checkpoint/report boundary, including deterministic exports and
refusal to overwrite output files (#146).
Added
- Measure native evidence-ranker relevance-score error on independently labeled
holdout data with Brier score, binary log loss, and calibration bands. These
diagnostics evaluate label relevance, not citation truth or language-model
accuracy (#144). - Compare hypothetical answerability thresholds and count incorrectly accepted
and missed answerable questions without enabling automatic abstention at
runtime (#139, #143).
Fixed
- Reject train/holdout repository aliases despite casing or surrounding
whitespace, and apply canonical repository identities to direct retrieval
and answerability evaluation (#140, #142). - Make local ranker training deterministic across shuffled dataset rows;
reject duplicate and missing evidence identities and exclude source excerpts
from training datasets (#137, #141). - Keep scanning the native offline evidence digest for shorter observations when a
preceding fact cannot fit the output token budget. Limit the number of included
observations to twelve rather than truncating the candidate search, with a
regression test that recovers the thirteenth candidate after twelve oversized ones.
Documentation
- Update the README and GitHub Action usage examples to the published v1.4.4 tag.
