v0.6.0 — Nebulynk 0.6.0

Adds spontaneous calls in direct and group chats that become meetings only when someone accepts, alongside administrator storage visibility, reliable reminder recovery, automatic General membership, and a readiness-aware deployment lifecycle.

  • feature: Calls become meetings only on acceptance — Start a call from a direct or group chat and ring the other current members for up to 60 seconds. No meeting is created while the call is ringing: the first participant to accept creates the regular meeting and its chat context. Notes still opens immediately and active meetings are reused.
  • feature: Call overlays, history, and recovery — Incoming and outgoing call overlays show the deadline and available actions, realtime updates keep multiple devices in sync, and unsuccessful attempts leave searchable chat history with a retry action.
  • feature: Administrator storage usage overview — Platform administrators can inspect logical database, file, meeting-recording, object-count, and total storage usage in Admin > System Info, refresh snapshots, and see stale or partial results.
  • improvement: Atomic message and attachment handling — Message creation keeps attachments, related records, and authorized file output consistent in one transaction, while forwarding cleanup protects copies that are already bound.
  • improvement: Reliable message reminders — Reminder processing now uses PostgreSQL transactions and row locks, rechecks access at delivery time, keeps technical failures retryable, and repairs legacy processing rows during migration.
  • improvement: Automatic General membership — Eligible active members now join the default General channel automatically when they activate an account, and migration 070 backfills missing memberships for existing eligible users.
  • improvement: More resilient sessions and message visibility — The browser client centralizes authentication transport, token refresh, and platform caching, while message auto-read is limited to content visible when the app is in the foreground.
  • improvement: Readiness-aware backend lifecycle — The backend exposes GET /health/ready, coordinates background work and presence cleanup, and performs orderly shutdown within a 60-second budget for stop-before-start deployments.
  • improvement: Clearer meeting summaries — Meeting topic titles and their supporting summary text now use a clearer stacked layout for easier scanning.
  • improvement: Broader release verification — Shared linting, PostgreSQL integration, Chromium end-to-end, Docker runtime, Gitleaks, and Trivy checks provide stronger release evidence and diagnostics.
  • security: Audit-fixed image processing dependency — The bundled sharp image-processing dependency is updated to 0.35.4, removing the HIGH libheif vulnerability reported for earlier releases.

Security advisories

  • HIGH (<0.35.4) — Versions before sharp 0.35.4 include vulnerable libheif dependencies; Nebulynk 0.6.0 updates the image-processing stack.
