PiLyzer 3.3.10 for macOS 13+, Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel), with PiLyzer firmware 1.19 for the Raspberry Pi Pico 2, the Pico 2 W, the original Pico and either on a PL2407AFE, and ArLyzer firmware 0.8 for the Arduino Nano R4, UNO R4 Minima and UNO R4 WiFi.
Fixes in the Mac app:
- The demo starts when it is chosen. With no board attached, Demo signal was the only entry in the instrument menu and already selected, so choosing it did nothing, and the screen stayed empty until Connect and then Run were pressed. Now the empty screen has a Start a demo button on all four screens, choosing Demo signal in the toolbar connects and sweeps at once, and Instrument → Start Demo (⌘D) does the same — as Try demo does in PiLyzer Web. Connect also starts the sweep when the demo is the instrument selected.
- The demo opens on a scale that shows it. On a first launch it opened on ±25 V at 10 V a division, where its signals were a ripple along the middle of the screen. It opens on ±5 V at 1 V a division.
- A running instrument no longer keeps the app busy. Every record redrew the control panel, the toolbar and the menus along with the screen, which took a whole processor core on the Oscilloscope screen and could leave a click waiting. Only the screen and its readings follow the records now: the same screen takes about 40% of a core, and Spectrum, Logic and Meter 25–35%.
- The footer says "Demo signal, generated on this Mac" in the demo, where it said "Connected over USB".
The firmware has not changed. The Pico 2 W UF2 and the UNO R4 WiFi bridge are rebuilt so that pilyzer.local and arlyzer.local serve the web app labelled v3.3.10, which is otherwise 3.3.9's; the other UF2 and .bin files are the ones 3.3.9 carried. None of the files carries a network name or password; each was checked before publishing.
Validation: 117 Mac tests and 79 web tests passed; both Universal architectures built, and the bundle signature verified after unzipping. The sandboxed build was started as a first launch, with no settings and no launch arguments: Start a demo and the toolbar's Demo signal each put three moving waveforms on the screen, all four screens answered a click in about a quarter of a second, Disconnect then Connect started the demo again, and the menu bar reading kept up. An UNO R4 Minima read eight channels over USB serial in the same build. A Pico 2 W was updated from the UF2: it passed its self-test, kept the network set from the app, served the web app labelled v3.3.10, and took three-channel records over Wi-Fi 45 of 45 after a first attempt that timed out. An UNO R4 WiFi was updated from the bridge: it kept its network, served v3.3.10, read seven channels over USB, and took seven-channel records over Wi-Fi 25 of 25. Neither board would join the bench network that day, with 3.3.9's firmware or this one, until the router was restarted; both then joined at once.
Unzip the app and move it to Applications. The bundle is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized; macOS may require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway on first launch.
