PiLyzer 3.3.9 for macOS 13+, Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel), with PiLyzer firmware 1.19 for the Raspberry Pi Pico 2, the Pico 2 W and a Pico 2 on the PL2407AFE — and now the original Raspberry Pi Pico too — and ArLyzer firmware 0.8 for the Arduino Nano R4, UNO R4 Minima and UNO R4 WiFi.

New in PiLyzer firmware 1.19:

  • The original Pico. PiLyzer-Pico.uf2 and PiLyzer-PL2407AFE-Pico.uf2 run PiLyzer on the original Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040), bare or on a PL2407AFE. Copy one onto the drive called RPI-RP2. It calls itself PiLyzer Pico. It has half the Pico 2's memory, so records are half as long: 12,288 points on two channels, 8,192 on three, and 32,768 for the logic analyser, which reaches 125 MSa/s. The RP2040's converter has uneven codes around 512, 1536, 2560 and 3584, which the Pico 2 fixed: waveforms, frequencies and logic are as good, but a voltage reading near those codes, and the spectrum's ENOB, are not. There is no Wi-Fi build for it.
  • On the Pico 2 builds nothing changes but the version number.

New in the Mac app:

  • --rangecheck reads the test square wave on every channel and every range, for a front end just built. With more than one instrument plugged in, --at picks one by the location --list prints.

The Pico 2 W UF2 and the UNO R4 WiFi bridge are rebuilt so that pilyzer.local and arlyzer.local serve this web app, labelled v3.3.9. The ArLyzer .bin files are the ones 3.3.8 carried. None of the files carries a network name or password; each was checked before publishing.

Validation: 116 Mac tests, 79 web tests, the firmware host tests and the ArLyzer host tests passed; both Universal architectures built, and the bundle signature verified after unzipping. A new PL2407AFE on an original Pico was updated from PiLyzer-PL2407AFE-Pico.uf2 here and read a Pico 2's 1 kHz, 0–3.3 V test square correctly on both channels and all three ranges. A bare Pico 2 was updated from PiLyzer-Pico2.uf2 and passed its self-test. A Pico 2 on a PL2407AFE was updated from PiLyzer-PL2407AFE-Pico2.uf2 and read the same square on both channels and all three ranges, 3.35 V peak to peak on ±30 V and 3.31 V on ±6 V, cut off at 1.65 V on ±1.5 V. A Pico 2 W was updated from the UF2: it kept the network set from the app, served the web app labelled v3.3.9, and took three-channel records over Wi-Fi 5 of 5. An UNO R4 WiFi was updated from the bridge: it kept its network, joined in 3.5 s, served v3.3.9, and took seven-channel records over Wi-Fi 5 of 5.

Unzip the app and move it to Applications. The bundle is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized; macOS may require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway on first launch.
