Fixed

  • Recognise Meta, Ray-Ban/RayBan and Oakley device names automatically, delaying computer
    audio resumption by 2 seconds after taking the glasses to cover their voice announcement.
  • Update automatic recognition when the configured device appears or its Bluetooth name changes.

Added

  • Read-only D-Bus properties DeviceProfile and DeviceProfileSource, also shown by
    scambio status.

Upgrade notes

  • The default [device] profile is now auto. Existing explicit generic and meta_glasses
    choices are preserved. Users of 1.0.0 with Meta glasses can change profile = "generic"
    to profile = "auto" or remove that line to enable recognition.
  • An explicit policy.resume_delay_ms, including zero, still overrides the profile's timing.
    Already scheduled resume timers keep their original deadline.

First public release of Scambio for Linux: software multipoint for Bluetooth headphones and smart glasses. Your audio follows you between computer and phone.

Install

Ubuntu 24.04+, Debian 13+, Linux Mint 22, Pop!_OS 24.04 — download scambio_1.0.0_all.deb below (or from scambio.app) and open it. The package adds the signed Scambio APT repository, so updates arrive with your system updates.
