Scriptella 1.7.0 is released

Scriptella 1.7.0 is now available. Java 17 remains the minimum runtime; Scriptella 1.3 remains available for Java 8 compatibility.

Highlights

• Faster repeated SQL execution: reduce parsing and parameter setup for eligible static SQL, including repeated INSERTs used in CSV imports. Scriptella caches the binding plan while resolving fresh values for each execution; dynamic SQL continues through the existing parser.
• Read and write structured JSON and JSON Lines with the streaming JSON driver and typed output templates. The examples archive includes JSON-to-database, database-to-JSON, JSON-to-JSON and JSON Lines jobs. JSON output is nontransactional and may be partial after a failure.
• Monitor long-running jobs with optional periodic CLI progress, for example --progress=10s. Counts describe observed statement activity, not necessarily committed rows.
• Generate machine-readable JSON execution reports for success, failure and cancellation, with the available execution and connection metrics. Advanced batch, transaction, throughput and warning metrics are deferred.
• Optionally close a connection after its final use. This is disabled by default; when enabled, closure commits pending work, which later failures cannot roll back.
• Failed ETL and execute-sql runs now show elapsed time, and cancellation from new-tx scripts propagates to roll back pending transactions.

Get the binary, source and examples from GitHub Releases. On macOS or Linux, the user-local installer installs the published 1.7.0 archive:

Scriptella 1.7.0 is available from Maven Central. Add Core to a Maven project:

Add org.scriptella:scriptella-drivers:1.7.0 when using the packaged driver module. Add Jackson Core when using the JSON driver from Maven; supply vendor JDBC drivers separately.
