Talamar DOS is an open source distribution of the Microsoft DOS (MS-DOS) operating system. This software is directly derived from the MIT-licensed releases Microsoft published on GitHub.
Work shall initially begin with producing a distribution of MS-DOS 1.25 and proceeding forward from there.
All files within this repo are released under the MIT License as per the LICENSE file stored in the root of this repo.
Unlike the main MS-DOS source code, the files in this repository are for active development. Initial work should focus on converting assembler sources to be readable by more modern assemblers like Netwide Assembler (nasm
).
