Proposed changes

this pr proposes changes that address the following issues raised in analytics-kotlin repo:

  • storage provider has a misleading description
  • lack of gradle compatibility notes

Merge timing

  • ASAP once approved?

another customer just encountered segmentio/analytics-kotlin#51 in a different way, which the attempted fix does not address. put this pr on hold until we found a better way to make it less ambiguous
